ABOUT Bassu Wellness Salon & Store
Bassu first opened it's doors in December 2013 with Company Director and Stylist Ardia Wilkinson bringing the 'ayurvedic philosophy" into the heart of Morpeth.
Manager & Senior Stylist Alex Dawson joined the team in early 2017 and brought with her, a wealth of knowledge gathered from working in City Centre Salons .
Senior Stylist Claire Brown joined Bassu in June 2022. she has over 25 years experience in the industry and is an expert in Pre bonded, Nano and Micro ring extensions.
Assistant Manager /Stylist/Colourist Olivia joined our team in August 2022 and her expertise is with highlighting, freehand colouring and long hair styling.
Retail Ambassador/Colourist/stylist Coby joined the team at Bassu in September 2024.
Coby is an expert in highlighting and balayage and excels in all things Aveda.
His retail knowledge with the Aveda brand is second to none and offers free Aveda Hair Care consultations daily.
Chantelle joined our team in September 2024 .
Chantelle is our salon assistant and is currently studying for her hairdressing qualification .

The "AVEDA rituals" have been a big success in the salon, with a complimentary sensory journey ( a relaxing head massage using a blend of oils) prior to shampooing . It's easy to unwind and relax in the calming environment.
All our products are Vegan and range from 60%- 95% naturally derived.
All Aveda product bottles are 100% recyclable .
All Kerastase product bottles are recyclable ( aiming towards the next few years to also recycle Kerastase lids )

All our sites are using 100% renewable energies
Since 2015, our factory in Burgos, Spain, has reduced its C02 emissions by improving energy efficiency on-site and using 100% renewable energies thanks to a biomass power plant and solar panels.
Since 2017, our Burgos, Spain, production facility has been a “waterloop factory.” This means that 100% of the water used for production processes is recycled and reused in a closed loop. External network water is only used in the composition of products or for employees’ day-to-day needs. In 2020, the factory saved 32 million liters of water.
Kérastase does not test any of its products or any of its ingredients on animals. For more than 30 years, we have been committed to a world without animal testing, thanks to pioneering alternative methods of assessing safety that do not involve animals. Know more about it.
